Dye sublimation is the most common method to produce beautiful prints on a polyester T-shirt. However, printers also use DTG and screen printing methods to create artworks on polyester T-shirt. But these printing methods don’t create the best results. So we will be discussing only on dye sublimation method.

Dye sublimation works best only on 100% polyester T-shirt. The Tri Blend Polyester T-shirt has 50% of polyester, 25% cotton and 25%rayon. The less quantity of polyester is not enough to produce a vibrant print and the print might look vintage or faded.

Besides, the lack of polyester fibers in a Tri Blend can result in scorched print due to presence of rayon in the fabric which can get scorched during the sublimation process. Similarly, printing on a Tri Blend can result in distorted print because the fabric has the tendency to move away during the printing process.

To sum up, only a 100% polyester T-shirt should be used for printing an artwork as the Tri Blend can develop issues during and after the printing process. Besides, the dye sublimation is the perfect printing solution for creating prints on a polyester T-shirt whether it is logos and designs or even you want to print embroidered patches on the tee.
